SUMMARY:Transforming Conflict at Home and Beyond with Aya Caspi
DESCRIPTION:Come learn how to transform conflict by applying Nonviolent Communication consciousness and skills and reclaim togetherness amid separation and polarization.\nDates and Time:  October 1\, 8\, 22\, and 29 (4 Tuesdays) from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm CT on Zoom \nEach Virtual Classroom Recording will be sent to participants. \nClasses will include slide presentations\, modeling in the whole group using live situations\, and practice in small groups. \nExtra session(s) to support practice and integration will be held October 15th\, 6:30 pm-8:30 pm (and possibly one other date TBA) led by HNVC board members. \nUsing live examples from participants\, we will \n\nDemonstrate and practice the internal and external skills to support healing and reconciliation under conditions where there is a break in trust.\nAccess everyone’s humanity and create a field of innocence beyond ‘right-wrong’ and ‘either/or.’\nAccess and embody people’s vulnerable truths in moments when they are most likely to hide behind their protections.\nTranslate judgments\, threats\, demands and criticism into feelings\, longings\, “please and thank yous” to help open hearts and make choices that are likely to care for everyone\, yourself included.\nHold everyone’s choice firmly and compensate for power differences so that everyone’s voices and needs are included and peaceful agreements are made based on true willingness without coercion or giving up.\n\nTo view Aya using these skills: \nSpeaking About the War in Gaza Without Recreating It Between Us (YouTube video)  \n\nClick here to register.\nSuggested sliding scale is $100 to $275 for adults and $5.00 for youths aged 18 to 25.
